Maggie Lucas - Bars Practitioner

My name is Maggie and like most of you reading this, I have had a very varied life with periods of stability, happiness, joy, great sadness, deep depression, anxiety, and grief – I could go on!

To help me cope, I have tried antidepressants, dabbled in lots of different therapies and regimes, meditation, head massage, aromatherapy, spiritual healing and Reiki to name a few.

Although ticking along nicely running a fairly successful graphic design business, I felt like something was missing. I felt I wanted to do something with my life but just didn’t know what that was. I also was scared to make that change as the money was quite good and after doing it for 30 years it was well within my comfort zone.

Like most women this first happened when I hit 40, and although I wanted change I didn’t know where to start as I was on a decent salary which I was reluctant to lose, I decided to stay with the status quo. Making big changes to your life when not forced onto you, is quite a brave thing to do, and I wasn't ready to be that brave!

These feelings never went away and on turning 50 in December 2017 I felt I had to do something, but what?

I had my first Access Consciousness Bars session at the end of November 2017 and my life changed. After this first session not only did my sleep improve it was of a greater quality, I didn’t wake up feeling tired, on top of this there was a definite shift in my thought processes. I knew the time was right for me to train as an Access Consciousness Bars Practitioner.

Four bars sessions later in February 2018 , I had the clarity of thought, courage and strength to know this is what I wanted to do, experiencing first hand how life changing this treatment is.

I decided that the time was right for me to start distancing myself from my business of graphic design and start following my true path, I have put this off for long enough the time was right! I was also suffering high levels of anxiety and stress and it had started to manifest in physical symptoms so I knew I had to take action.

I found a treatment room which is in Choices Gym in Raynesway Derby in April/May of this year and am now helping clients with all sorts of issues - am truly loving life.

Do you want change in your life? Do you think it will just happen? I always remember hearing this quote in business that rings true. Do what you always do, get what you have always got. Be brave take that first step and have a Bars Session, the worst that can happen is you will feel deeply relaxed and who doesn't want that in their life?

Come and say hi at Well Fest East Midlands 2018 at The Roundhouse in Derby on the 29th September and learn more about the bars!
